In a wide and sunny vale situated between 850 and 2,200 m above sea level, long slopes await families, sporty skiers and snowboarder learners at Nara. Long, marked hiking trails are provided for walkers from which they can marvel at the majestic mountain range of the Rheinwaldhorn (Adula) on the opposite side of the valley. A long sledge run, the only one in Ticino, can be enjoyed by young and old visitors alike. It goes 5 km from Pian Nara to Cancorì, and if snow conditions permit, even 10 km from Pian Nara to Leontica. There are also hiking trails that can be walked with or without snowshoes. The two «Swing The World» swings in the forest near Bar Pela invite you to take beautiful photos. The Swiss Ski School Nara is available to book courses or rent equipment. Nara can be reached via Biasca, Acquarossa to Leontica or via the Lukmanier Pass.
