Zuoz – the ski resort for families
Enjoy skiing across wide slopes without the hustle and bustle: the cosy ski resort of Zuoz is located in the heart of the Engadine, between 1,720 and 2,465 metres above sea level, on the sunny side of the valley. The village of Zuoz is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the Engadine on account of its preserved historic centre.
Skiing and snowboarding are particularly popular with families on Mount Pizzet. The ski resort is clearly laid out, but nevertheless rich in variety. Three chairlifts and two ski lifts lead to perfectly groomed slopes covering all levels of difficulty: the 16 kilometres of blue slopes are particularly suitable for beginners. With 8 kilometres of red and 8 kilometres of black slopes, skiing is also a real pleasure for advanced skiers.
Child-friendly ski resorts
Being child-friendly is a top priority at Zuoz. The Swiss Tourism Federation has awarded Zuoz the "Family Destination" label. A special child-proof chairlift allows small children from the age of 4 – unaccompanied by adults – to safely ascend the mountain. At the spacious Kinderland, the littlest skiers and snowboarders can practise their first curves in the snow. A fun slope, timed slope and snow park offer lots of fun for experienced, adventurous kids.
Tobogganing for big and small
The ski resort in Zuoz offers a 1.5-kilometre toboggan run from the Chastlatsch chairlift.
Ski and snowboard school
The Swiss Ski School Zuoz – La Punt teaches skiing and snowboarding both in classes and privately. Guests are sure to make rapid progress at the clearly laid out and family-friendly Zuoz ski resort.
Food and drink on the slopes
Whizzing downhill on skis or a snowboard can leave you feeling hungry and tired! If you need a break or simply want to warm yourself up, simply park your boards in front of one of the two restaurants or in front of the Buera mountain hut. Enjoy hot dishes or a fine platter – indoors or on a cosy sun terrace.
